Officer (I am) has taken out the SME (speed measuring equipmen) from the vehicle for speed checking of 70 km/h limit. Speed limit on Motorway for LTV is 120 km/h extendable to 130 km/h(except in Salt Range where it becomes 50 km/h). On highway it is 100 km/h extendable 110 km/h( except populated areas and major pedistrian crossings where it becomes 70 km/h). SME is 99.9% accurate and consists of a Laser gun, LCD screen, camera and VCD player. At night speed checking through night vision SME has been started on some parts of Motorway and Highway.
