10/29/2012: This image, originally posted 2 years ago after the Giants 2010 World Series Parade, received hundreds of views today; I guess the fans are preparing for the next parade which will be held on Market Street in the City on Wednesday, Oct. 31st. Maybe we’ll even seen the "Posey Girls" again, but this time I will be there too !
11/6/2010: The Posey Girls chose the right player to celebrate – Buster Posey was elected "Rookie of the Year" for 2010!
My husband, a lifelong Giants fan, went to the Parade in San Francisco on Wednesday 11/6 to celebrate the World Series victory of the San Francisco Giants. He borrowed my old camera & took at least a hundred pictures, most of them the back of someone’s head, upraised fists, blurry crowd scenes… But for some reason the images of these delightful Buster Posey fans turned out fabulous !! Explain that to me, please….
For those of you who haven’t been following every nuance of the Giant’s season, Buster Posey is the handsome young 23 year old who was called up from the minors in May and became their starting catcher on June 30th. 5 months later he’s in the World Series. Hopefully, notoriety and adulation won’t spoil his charming and humble demeanor.
