Rebecca Skye at the grand old age of 12, has performed in Washington D.C., on the battlefield of Gettysburg, in Dallas, Texas, and for the opening of the Canada Day festivities in Ottawa, just to name a few. Recently was heard on thousands of radio stations around the world with the Christmas song “The Snowman” She is in the process of recording a number of Celtic CD, many of the songs are in celtic and world music, and some have contemporary feel to them.
Rebecca started her singing career when she was four when she sang at
the opening of a Buddy McMaster concert. Since then, she has opened for
a number of performers such as Wayne Rostad, Celtic Mist, Glengerry Bhoys and even Fred Penner. She has sang with Charlotte Church, Alex Beaton and even played fiddle with Natalie McMaster. Rebecca is a favorite on the festival/Fair circuit and was a featured performer at last years Ottawa Exhibition.
Rebecca has also been studying violin with renown violin teacher Rosamond Laberge. She loves to play Violin/fiddle as much as she loves baseball, skating and reading. She reads anything and everything. So if you are looking for a great little opening act give her a call and support the future of young music.
